Most of our colons are in unhealthy states, filled with toxins and plaque. A clogged colon can lead to constipation. This all occurs due to our poor diets, bad lifestyle decisions and living in unhealthy environments.
When it comes to our diet, most of us eat way too much protein. The excess acid can be hard on the colon, and may deplete many of the electrolytes and minerals in our body. This could result in our colon being unable to fight harmful toxins and bacteria.
Another related problem is that many Americans have a tendency to overeat. Eating too much at one time can also be hard on the colon. Overeating can result in over using enzymes, which makes our colons have to work harder than they should.
Americans do eat a lot of processed foods, including junk food, cookies and cakes, which are foods that humans were never really meant to digest. Eating large quantities of processed foods may cause a buildup of plaque in our colons. Our poor diets can definitely play a big role in why colon cleansing may be required.
The environment is also a big factor contributing to us having unhealthy colons. We are bombarded every day with harmful chemicals, pesticides, second hand smoke and other types of pollutants.
